Mercer Street Friends provided 200-320 grocery bags weekly, and eggs, produce, and pampers periodically.

Muchisimas Gracias to Allentown Presbyterian Church for Responding to Westminster’s Giving Tuesday 2021 Appeal by Providing a $10,000 grant in 2022, and a $6.500 grant in 2023 to also help us distribute toiletries!

Allentown Presbyterian Church graciously responded to Westminster’s 2021 Giving Tuesday appeal by providing a generous $10,000 grant to also help provide toiletries to Westminster’s family and community. Deacon and Administrative Assistant, Crystal Jordan is the point person for this new ministry of providing toiletries.

Pampers and adult undergarments are provided via Allentown Presbyterian Church grant and the Mercer Streets Friends.

Brown bags are personalized for families, women, and men. Inspiring Bible verses are shared.

Westminster was a Grateful for the Shot site. Tammy Synder Murphy, the NJ governor’s wife, Trenton Mayor Reed Gusciora, and Principal Adrienne Hill attended.

  • In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Westminster partnered with the Capital Area YMCA to serve 48,868 meals to children 18 years old and under

  • In 2021, Westminster became a meals distribution hub with the financial support of the Bonner Foundation

  • Over 107,000 meals were distributed at Westminster in 2021! That’s almost 295 daily!

  • Westminster has partnered with:

    1) the YMCA, 2) St. Gregory’s Food Pantry at St. Mary’s by the Sea, 3) First Church of Christ, Scientist, Princeton, 4) Trenton Public Schools, 5) Aramark, 6) Soup Kitchen 411, 7) the NJ Sustain and Serve Program, 8) Sewa International of Central NJ, 9) Mercer Street Friends

Community members help Westminster serve our neighbors without addresses in Downtown Trenton.

In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we partnered with the Capital Area YMCA to become a Grab and Go Meals site to serve 48,868 meals to children 18 years old and under because the Trenton Public Schools were closed. In the summer of 2021, Westminster once again became a Grab and Go meals site. Over 16,000 meals were distributed.
